Rules & Categories

  1. General Rules

    • Participants must be 18+ years old and medically fit for dance/sports.

    • Compliance with festival rules and organizer instructions is mandatory.

    • Drug/alcohol use is prohibited, and locker rooms are restricted to authorised individuals. Participants can withdraw for health reasons, but fees are non-refundable.In this case a medical note needs to be provided.

    • Respect and accept the jury decision. In case of disagreement, the athlete and people around him/her, have to maintain a civil and respectful behaviour during and after the event.

    • Judges’ decisions are final, and violations may lead to disqualification.

    • Performances must follow the scheduled in order to avoid delays.

    • By paying the participation fee, participants consent to media publication of their performances and agree to the rules and regulations.​.
       

  2. Costume & Appearance

    • Costumes must be clean, well-fitted, and appropriate for the dance theme and music. Advertisements, spikes, sharp objects, nudity, pasties, and G-strings are strictly not allowed and may lead to disqualification.

    • High heels are mandatory for exotic pole dance; boots are allowed.

    • Stage makeup, hairstyling, and appropriate accessories are required.
       

  3. Video Submission

    • Participants must submit a 90-second qualification video via the website application form.

    • The submission video choreography can be a different routine however if you apply for example "hard style category" the video submission must be a hard style routine. 

    • Multiple category entries are allowed, and videos must align with the chosen category. A participation fee is to be paid with every entry.

    • For Doubles and Group category each participant has to apply separately and enter the stage name in the form. 

    • Submission videos must not be edited. 
       

  4. Additional Rules

    • Lotions, creams, bronzers, and wax-based grip products are prohibited.

    • Fire, pyrotechnics, and explicit sexual content are not allowed.

    • Discrimination of any kind is strictly prohibited.

    • Participants must have personal insurance, as the organisers are not liable for injuries. Stage props and assistants are permitted if professionally presented.

    • The festival supports the global development of Exotic Pole Dance, with participation fees considered charitable donations.
       

  5. Music

    • Music must be uploaded in mp3 format.

    • The duration of music for the finals are as follows per category.

      • Amateur 2.30min

      • Semi pro 3.00min 

      • Professional 3:30 min

      • Stars 4.00min 

    • You must upload the music to the form sent to you by email after being selected. 
       

  6. Stage Rehearsals

    • ​Stage Rehearsals will be on Friday 19th September, timings to be sent to you closer to date.
       

  7. Registration

    • Applications open on 10th February 

    • Applications deadline is on the 9th May 

    • Finalist will be announced on 10th June 

    • Finalist music submission form must be submitted by the 1st July 

    • Stage Rehearsals will be on the 19th September 

    • Final Competition 20th September
       

  8. Accompanying persons

    • ​Coaches and human props are allowed for an extra fee of €20
       

  9. Medical Care

    • Medical Assistance during the competition: A doctor will follow the entire competition on hand for emergency interventions; an ambulance will be stationed at the event site for any hospital emergencies. 

    • Should the participant feel unwell on the day of competition the organiser must be informed. 
       

  10. Pricing

    • Solo application €30 + finalist fee €90

    • Doubles application €25 + finalist fee €75 (per person)

    • Group application €20 + finalist fee €65 (per person) 

    • Coach €20

    • Human prop €20 

  11. Check in

    • Participants who have a ticket and would like to watch the show can come to the venue at any time however, they will be allowed backstage 1hr before performance.

    • CHECK-IN: Check-in must be made at least 1 hour 30mins before your performance. If you have not checked-in within one hour of your performance, you will be considered withdrawn.

    • Identity document needs to be provided upon check in.

Exotic Flow Style

Exotic Pole Flow is centered around seamless movement, incorporating fluid transitions, body spirals, and slides that create the illusion of an endless, uninterrupted flow. This style is also characterised by intricate legwork and floor-based techniques, emphasizing grace and continuous motion.

Exotic Hard Style

Exotic Hard Style is a dynamic and physically demanding category that prioritize pole tricks and floor work as the core elements of the performance. Whether fast-paced or slow, the routine must showcase technical skill, strength, and musicality, making it a true display of athletic artistry.

Layered Rock Pattern

Exotic Theatre

A highly creative category that focuses on thematic storytelling, set design, and dramatic presentation. Performances in this category must incorporate strong visuals, compelling narratives, props, and stage decorations, while being executed in any Exotic Pole Dance style.

Exotic Men

Exotic Pole Men can compete in this category, performing in any style - Flow, Hard, or Old School - but must wear high-heeled shoes. If there are enough participants, the men's division may be further split into Flow, Hard, and Old School styles.

This category welcomes duet performances in any Exotic Pole Dance style, featuring synchronised choreography, dynamic partner work, and intricate trick combinations designed to highlight the connection between the performers.

Exotic Show Group

Open to groups of three or more dancers, this category allows for creative storytelling, synchronised choreography, and impressive group trick combinations in any Exotic Pole Dance style.

Inspired by the classic roots of erotic dance, cabaret, and burlesque, Exotic Old School focuses on sensual expression and emotional depth. This style requires dancers to embody powerful storytelling and captivating stage presence, staying true to the essence of traditional exotic dance.
